Our Pups

Maddie
Hi,
My name is Maddie…
Before becoming a model for PAWPROOF, I was rescued by my mom. My previous owner passed away and I was surrendered to a foster home where I met my current mom. I am a spunky three-year old Westie that shares a home with three other Terrier-mix canines who are my new sisters, and they were all rescued by my mom too. I had never socialized with other dogs, people and the outside world until I met my new mom. My mom pampers me and my sisters, always loving and giving quality time to us all. I have been on many outings around the Aiken area, along with attending Polo matches as a spectator meeting new people, horses and making new canine friends. I love my new sisters, but I am happiest when I am with my mom. Since I am a little dog so to speak and low to the ground, it would be challenging to walk on a normal leash without me getting tangled in the leash. My mom tried out the new PAWPROOF leash and now I can walk with ease without getting tangled. I am excited to be a model for PAWPROOF to represent such a great invention for all my little dogs’ friends.

Baxter
"Baxter is a marvelous but mysterious mix that might include long haired Dachshund and Cavalier King Charles spaniel. In May of 2013, he was a stray that made his way in to the home and heart of Theresa Shahan by way of the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare in Aiken, South Carolina. Baxter quickly adjusted to life as a country gentleman; he was neutered, chipped and studied obedience at PetSmart and with trainer Ann Kinney. He has given agility a try, and is an enthusiastic Barn Hunt novice. Most days, Baxter accompanies his mom to Wheeler Equestrian, where he has many human, equine and canine friends. He is a certified pet therapist and his duties at home include boosting morale and keeping the back yard clear of squirrels. In his spare time, he enjoys playing fetch, walks in the woods and wrestling with his girlfriend, Tabby, also a rescue dog. Baxter’s long, luxurious coat is maintained by Chrissy Bowers at Pampered Paws. He is an amateur meteorologist and is able to detect an impending storm more accurately than any weather app."
Butter
"Butter is an approximately 5 year old female yellow lab. She was found in November of 2018, running down a South Carolina road in the pouring rain. As cars drove around her, she chased after them, trying to get in the vehicles when they slowed down. A FOTAS (Friends Of The Animal Shelter) volunteer stopped and picked her up, taking her to the shelter in Aiken SC. She called to see if I could foster her so I picked her up the next day. She ended stealing my heart and became a “foster failure”. She enjoys long walks in the woods, naps on puffy beds and is never without a ball or her favorite stuffed duck."
